Bill Rodriguez, M.D. – C.E.O.
Bill has been a leader in global health for more than two decades. His expertise has made him a valued advisor to the World Health Organization, the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, and several African and Asian governments. From 2003-2007 he served as Chief Medical Officer of the Clinton Foundation, responsible for strategy and market development for global health products and clinical policies and programs. He is a graduate of Brown University and the Yale University School of Medicine.
Fred Farber – C.T.O.
Fred has been developing diagnostic products and bringing them to market for 25 years. He was a co-founder and VP of Product Development of Cytyc Corporation where he oversaw the development of the first ThinPrep instruments. For the past decade he was a Vice President at IDEXX Laboratories where he held positions as head of engineering, general manager of the digital imaging business, and lead of all customer facing software activities across the range of IDEXX’s diagnostic offerings.
Aaron Oppenheimer – VP Product Design and Development
Aaron has more than 20 years of product development experience. Previously, he worked at Hewlett Packard’s medical products group and was responsible for the design of user interfaces for patient monitoring systems that remain the industry standard. He then spent nearly a decade as a product development consultant, designing life science products for clients including Dade-Behring, Insulet, and Respironics, as well as consumer products for Samsung, General Motors, and OXO.
Robert Etheredge, Ph.D. – VP Operations
Rob brings to Daktari nearly 25 years of medical device product development, manufacturing, and quality control experience. He previously served as Vice President of Operations at Transport Pharmaceuticals, where he directed engineering and manufacturing for a drug delivery device scaled for manufacturing at low cost at volumes of millions of units per year. Previously, Rob spent ten years as a Principal at Arthur D. Little, Inc., and as Principal Scientist at Tyco International.
